Let’s face it. It’s hard NOT to shop for yourself over the holidays! I know we are supposed to be shopping for others BUT with so many great deals RIGHT in front our our faces...I mean, how can we not?! So if we are gonna do it, here are some of the places I recommend for the best deals...that way we don’t have to feel quite as guilty about it! 😊

Starting with my first look, the dress I got SO many compliments on from Instagram...my little sexy pilgrim look. This dress comes from one of my favorite online shopping destinations: Shopbop. It’s on a ridiculous sale right now...under $30!!! And that’s characteristic of Shopbop, as they often have all of my favorite designers at up to 70% off in sale! So if you’re itching to shop some new fall and winter looks, I highly recommend giving them a look!

The second look is from South Moon Under. They also often frequently discount excellent pieces down to unbelievable prices! They also have a small men’s selection, for my hubby, which he enjoys, AND they offer frequent denim deals from great brands like AG and Blank NYC!

The thirds look is a hodge-podge of many favorite places, but let’s focus on the jacket. How seasonally appropriate, right? I love plaid for winter. Anywho, this little baby was scored from Von Maur! Here’s the secret about Von Maur...their markdowns are predictable. Yup. Every Wednesday is the first wave of markdowns and Thursdays are further markdowns. I caught the jacket on a second markdown. And I’m obsessed with it. And we all lived happily ever after!

As always, you can shop my looks via the LIKEtoKNOW.it app, available on iPhone AND Android now! Or you can follow this link to shop my looks!

LIKEtoKNOW.it - how to shop my Instagram!

I gain new followers daily, so although some of you may be familiar with LIKEtoKNOW.it and the LTK App...quite a few are not! I'm often asked questions like "what lip color are you wearing?" "Where'd you get that top?" Or where can I find those shoes?"  It's all so simple my darlings! I make it that way for you so you will rarely have to ask...you can just like my picture, or screenshot my picture and shop the entire image IMMEDIATELY!

I am able to do this through LIKEtoKNOW.it. It's a program and app designed for top level bloggers to share their looks with their followers quickly, and it allows you the ability to shop and consume those looks at your leisure!  Let me break it down for you guys, step by step!

IMG_9974.PNG

First you're going to want to download the LIKEtoKNOW.it app. See above. It is FREE! Once you've downloaded and signed into the app, you'll be able to screenshot and shop ALL of my looks. Super simple. Say you screenshot this image..:

IMG_9973.PNG

Moments later, you will find it on the main page of your app, and you'll be able to click on individual items below the photo to shop them. So if you're just after these Alice + Olivia pumps, no sweat! Just click on them and you'll be taken to the place I got them from, you'll be able to shop just like any online shopping experience! And yes, you can return items that don't fit. It's literally just like shopping at Nordstrom or any of your other fave stores...because YOU ARE shopping there! You're just getting directly to the items you're looking for by way of my image. Make sense? Let's try...

First I find a photo that I want to shop...

IMG_9976.PNG

Notice the app lets me know RIGHT AWAY when the image is ready to shop! So I head on over to the app now...

IMG_9977.PNG

I find the image all broken down. Dress, jewelry, bags, shoes etc. I decide I want to buy this shell necklace, so I click on it below...

IMG_9978.PNG

This takes me to Anthropologie (where, surprise! I bought this jewelry). And check that out! It's even on sale! 😍 I decide I'd like a necklace like this so...

IMG_9979.PNG

I add it to my shopping cart as usual and I proceed to checkout just like I would normally.

IMG_9980.PNG

See! It's your normal shopping experience, I'm just getting you to the products you want immediately instead of you having to guess and then sift through all of these items you don't want! It's streamlined and awesome and it's how I shop ALL OF THE TIME.  It's like having a personal stylist working for you, without having the pay them!

Now, let's say you're not into apps. No problem! Just go to the LIKEtoKNOW.it website (it's just like above. No dotcom, it's dotIT) sign up with your email and then every time you "like" one of my pictures on IG those shopping breakdowns will be emailed to you instead of sent to an app. You can shop them just like I showed you above, except it will be from an email.

Isnt that awesomely easy?? I hope you think so. Go try it. Let me know if you have any troubles at all. I'm happy to help guide you guys further. Trust me, this has changed shopping for me and it's gonna change it for you too...I promise!!!

Dressing Room Round Up

Trying this...the other day I tried on a whole slew of items at Nordstrom, some were to purchase, others were just brands I was unfamiliar with and wanting to try for fit. I decided to snap picks in all of the outfits and document the experience for you guys and let you know what looks I was feeling, or not so much...so here we go!

IMG_9759.JPG

Kicking the compilation off with the rompers. I'm a hard sell on rompers. I LOVE them. But the fit is always tough. I suppose I have a long torso, because many rompers steal my joy by giving me some kind of wedgie or another, I'll let you figure that one out. But this romper had the right ratio for me, as you can see, wedgie free. Super cute! I love the beautiful and unique olive color.  However, I chose to pass on this because of the pockets. Unless I had my hands in them, they were just kind of awkward. I suppose if you have a less curvey figure, the pockets would lay flat at all times and be less noticeable!

IMG_9758.JPG

Romper number 2! Ever since the Stardust days I've been attracted to anything starry. This romper of course caught my eye. The pattern is exceptionally cute. It offers up the opportunity for some GREAT cleavage if you want to flaunt the girls without being totally over the top. Other than that, it didn't really do much for my figure, and I couldn't see myself wearing it really, so I passed on this one too. But it's really cute for the right figure and style!

IMG_9757.JPG

On to what I DID choose to take home. First was this top. 😍  I'm a sucker for ruffles, and this has all of the ruffle action. I like the asymmetrical line of the one shoulder look, plus the ruffle. Really striking and different! What sold me fully on this top was the gorgeous color palette though. It's rainbow, but not obnoxious. I love the flowers! They are so classy and fun. This is a top that can be worn for many occasions and will get you plenty of compliments!

IMG_9500.JPG

Finally, I chose to pick up this outfit. The American Flag never did me wrong, and I'm Mrs Nightmare for goodness sake.  I kind of have to own the patriotic look from time to time, and this is a subtle nod to the game! So the top is just a normal T. I Brandi'd it up by making it a cut off for the photo, but you can wear it and have your tummy covered, that's how it's meant to be worn. The shorts are amazing and my favorite. I have lots of destroyed denim shorts, none with American flag pockets, until now! So fun, not too over the top and probably the best thing is I think they were only 40 bucks! They fit fantastically. Just the right amount of stretch, not obnoxiously short. Perfect.

I'm linking ALL of these looks on my IG via LIKEtoKNOW.it. By now I hope everyone has the app...it allows you to shop all of my looks easily and direct from the stores I bought them at, in this case, Nordies. For this post, all of these looks will be linked under one pictures.

Happy Shopping!

Stepping Out

There's nothing like a great summer night out. When there's clear skies and a cool breeze blowing it's always going to be a good night!  The scene in Atlanta always allows you to take advantage and dress up a little too! Whether you're dining out in Buckhead or catching a movie out in Brookhaven, it's fun to get out and let your hair down just a little bit!

Two of my favorite colors for a night out are always a bold red and a classic black, so I'm showcasing both of these sexy new looks today!

Lets go red to begin! I LOVE this curve hugging dress! It's a good length so not too over the top sexy where you can't wear it for a work party, but the curves are highly accentuated for that bit of mystery. The off shoulder look is perfect for a hot summer night. It brings an heir of drama and offers up a unique style. Not your basic red dress.  We don't do basic over here. No ma'am! I paired this look with my favorite new pair of Christian Louboutins. Red bottoms with a cherry on top! I love a red bottom with a red dress. So chic! This look is also partnered with the summer "it girl" bag, not convenient if you're carrying small items, they will fall right out! But for a night on the town where you're carrying a lighter load, this is quite perfect! The beautiful thing about this dress is that you can accessorize it up heavily, like I choose to with a bold statement necklace, or you can go bare and it still looks lovely.

Now on to the little black dress! I have so many black dresses, to add another to the collection it's gotta be unique and worth the space in my closet. This dress checks all of the boxes. The slits! The sleeves! The shoulders! THE DRAMA!!! Oh, I love this dress. Form fitting and flattering on the hips, a perfect neckline for a bold necklace (hello my friend, your transitioned from red to black without batting an eye you little minx!) I love that necklace, in case you haven't noticed, it's quite versatile! The sleeves on this dress are what you want to write home about. They are trendy, because everything right now is about the bell sleeve, BUT the slits in the sleeve make it unique. Everyone isn't wearing this dress honey, YOU ARE. And you're KILLING IT! I chose to pair it with a trusty pair of wedges and they work nicely but really, any heel will do! This dress plays well with others and it's a show stopper without needing sequins. Dress it up for a big event! Wear it as is for dinner. Sold!

Parisienne Summer

Its been a while since I've been in the beautiful, fashion-forward city of love and lights. Paris. One of my absolute FAVORITE cities to explore! The shopping, the food, the museums, the ambiance...the shopping!

When I found this beauitful striped, off-the-shoulder summer dress I knew I had to have it. It reminds me of all things Parisian. Black and white stripes are signature. The bare shoulders and body hugging fit of the dress provide a little sexiness and mystery. I'm obsessed with any type of ruffle this summer and this dress doesn't skip out on that charm either! It is both sexy and comfortable, making it perfect for an evening out on the town, quite like Paris!

I paired the look with these adorable black satin Chanel pumps with bows on the toes for that added bit of flair and luxury, and of course my new Louis Vuitton Double V handbag, which is almost sold out worldwide, by the way. If you're in love with it, you better score one soon or forever hold your peace!

When you have a dress that is a bit understated, it's a great opportunity for some of your luxury pieces to shine! Hence the double dose of Louis and Chanel. It's such an easy and breezy piece that it can hold its own with both high end staples as anchors!

The only thing missing from this look is a clever hat. A nice straw summer hat would be very nice with this look! A raspberry beret perhaps? Or a dangling earring! What would you add to this look to make it your own?

If you guys haven't yet, please make sure to download the LIKEtoKNOW.it app and shop my Instagram! You can shop simply by screen shotting posts to my page or even my Instagram stories! The app loads all of the details for your own personalized experience making it VERY easy for you to shop or browse my looks at your leisure. It's how I do A LOT of my shopping! It's so easy and fun to use I cannot express that enough! So go get it now and leave me a comment letting me know how you like the app!

Coming Up Roses

Everyone likes roses, right? They've become an international love statement and now they are very much becoming a fashion statement. Roses are found everywhere from our denim to our shoes and in this case, roses and velvet are making quite the impression as an unlikely, but unforgettable duo.

I'm new to the bodysuit scene. Discovering how easy a bodysuit can make your life is priceless. Especially a well fitting bodysuit that can match with ANYTHING! Pants, skirts, shorts, leggings, denim. Those are my kind of bodysuit! This beautiful, wine-colored, velvet one piece can go with so many options. In this case, I've got it paired with a favorite pair of charcoal distressed jeans, but I've worn it with just about everything. It's unique velvet texture and rose appliqués allow it to dress outfits up playfully, like destroyed denim or short shorts.

I had to go the extra mile when I found these gorgeous booties too! An exact match to the bodysuit, except in their champagne color which I actually find to be absolutely complimentary to the wine. (Who says champagne and wine don't go together? Please. They're cousins!)

This entire look is matchy, but not over the top, and honestly just fun. I love the low neckline of the suit, the low-riding waistline of the jean and the lace-up fashion of the bootie. Apart from each other, the pieces in this outfit could be pretty bland, but together it's a funky, creative sort of harmony! And the colors will take you right into fall where berries and champagnes live on for quite some time. Of course you'll want to throw a jacket on at that time! Maybe a bomber with rose accents? Too much? Not enough? You tell me.

This Louis Vuitton Double V bag would be a fit here in either color (it also comes in a light pink shade that is to die for). But act quickly on the Double V. As I've said before, she's nearly sold out worldwide! She's an unforgettable and dreamy little staple.

What other stand out pieces do you have with rose accents? Are you a flower power child of summer too? Leave it in the comments, and hey, shop this look on my Instagram anytime 🌹

Boot Round Up

IMG_6011.JPG
IMG_5993.JPG
IMG_6022.JPG

Clearly I've a bit of an obsession for a unique over the knee (otk) boot! I mean they make so many great styles and colors these days, how can you not be? I've been the shoe game diva for some time now. Would it not be my duty to bring you the best options possible?

Right! So here are my faves right now. Crushed velvet. Faux suede. Denim.

Lets start with denim. I love the look of destroyed denim. It looks great by itself or with fishnets underneath. Same goes for the denim otk boot. It allows you even more options because it extends all the way down to the toe, creating a chic line. Jeans alone can't do that. You can dress up a destroyed denim boot with a skirt or shorts as well. So if you want to feel comfy and casual, but look like a million bucks...reach for these. Incredibly priced by the way.

Faux suede. I have these in tan and black, because they're awesome. Amazingly comfortable and wearable with anything. Jeans, leggings, pants, shorts, skirts, dresses. You name it, it can work with the right color otk boot. I love the tan because they offer a lighter daytime look. I often wear these with dresses or dark denim as pictured. The chunky heel makes it easy to walk in. Just LOVE these.

Finally the crushed velvet wine colored otk boot. These are SO classy and lovely. I was shopping with my mom when I bought these...she said they were hideous. Can you believe that woman's nerve?!?! She was quickly corrected by about 20 passers by that complimented them on me...changed her tune pretty quickly! 😂 But seriously, these are a little more fashionably adventurous. So if you're cool with setting the trends instead of following, you can work these. They are SEXY. Period. I wouldn't wear these to church! But I'd wear them just about anywhere else. I find myself limited in what I can wear these with because the color is just so bold and beautiful on its own, you can't really compete. I tend to stick with blacks and greys to let these babies shine.

If you've been paying attention to my Instagram Stories, you've learned that it is now even EASIER to shop my looks these days! Of course you can always sign up at LIKEtoKNOW.it and just like my IG pics, but now if you download the LIKEtoKNOW.it app you can screenshot my images and shop them right from the app. How cool is that? Has anyone tried it yet? How do you find it? I prefer the screenshots personally. Let me know what you like!
