Hey y'all! This week the temps hit lows and weird highs while traveling on the road through Alabama and Louisiana. One day it was 65 degrees and the next...30. Eek! You never know what you're going to get on the road and its best to prepare for whatever! So here's a look at what I had the pleasure of wearing this week, take notes if you're traveling this winter! I was just saying this week how I tend to forget about my love for Ugg Australia until I end up at Neimans and randomly fall in love with, get this, a pair of stunning comfy UGGS! And oh, how much I love these little ditties. These are the Ugg Australia Appalachin Lace Up Boots. They are to die for. I wore these on every flight this week because they are like wearing slippers. Easy on, easy off. Shearling interior, so warm enough to go sockless if you prefer (I prefer). Honestly, I probably buy a new pair of Uggs each year, this was my 2015 end of year Ugg splurge. These cuties are on sale though, so check out my Instagram to shop them at their best price!
Meanwhile, another love of mine, Free People brand shirts. This dusty pink number is a great travel shirt. Free People pieces are great because they are easy for layering. If it's a cold flight, throw a sweater or jacket over top of a Henley like this with ease. However, they are just thick enough to go without and still be fine on a cool day. By the way, how 'bout that outlet in the pic? Tripped me out too.
Now, you wanna talk about a great combination for colder weather? This next look has it all. Comfort, class and cold weather ready. As you can all tell I'm on a big boot kick. I went a different route for me and paired a rugged type bootie with a dress. I think this look really works because all of the elements just really compliment each other. The booties are Louis Vuitton, from Christmas (thanks honey!). These are so snug and comfy, equivalent to a work boot. The class is there because there's just a hint of Louis with the leather logo ribbon around the toe. You have to look closely to know its Louis, which I love! Pairing these with these awesome star patterned tights was a bit edgy, but a worthwhile risk!
What really helped tie this look together was this little leather bomber jacket from She Inside. Such a classic piece, just a black leather shell, with zip pockets on either side. This provided a bit more class and edge to pull the lower pieces of the outfit together with the top half. One can never go wrong with a classic leather jacket. On this particular weeks was very glad to have it because temperatures, both outdoor and in, were completely unpredictable! This jacket kept me warm in every situation. Light-weight makes for easy packing. I love it.
The final piece to this outfit of mayhem was the wine colored suede bodycon dress from Haute Glam Boutique. I'm so in love with everything that they have for winter and this sleeveless turtleneck dress is no different. It allowed me to layer, and provided the much needed, pop of rich color in this look. Burgundies and Wines actually go well with both brown and black so it technically brought my mix-matched color schemes together here! If you haven't tried anything from HGB before, you're missing out! Head to my Instagram to find their account and get shopping.
